Soekie Krog

Biography

History:

Soekie Krog (Sandra Schoeman) was born in 1958 in Rhodesia(Zimbabwe) from missionary parents. At the age of ten she received Jesus as saviour and devoted her life to Him. She knew that there was a calling on her life to make a difference. She grew up in Western Transvaal, Delareyville, and matriculated at Sannieshof High School. After School she finished a two year bible school course in Cape town. She and her husband, Johan Krog stays in Hartbeespoortdam. She has three children and four stepchildren. Two of the seven are married and she is the proud grandmother of four grandchildren. 

Children's Music Ministry:

Soekie is renown for the Radikids group with whom she traveled and ministered for approx 12 years. In 1992 their first Gospel CD was released and another eight after that. Her only solo cd “daffodils’ was recorded after her five year old son died of cancer.In 2009 Soekie released a traditional gospel CD with Tswana children and a Gospel CD with coloured(khoi) children was released in January 2011. 

Invitations:

Although she does not minister with the Radikids any more, she is still invited to church services, schools, camps, women’s meetings as singer, music leader, or speaker. She has a passion to bring the Word of God to young and old in an effective, creative way.

Radio Pulpit:

Soekie is a freelance presenter at Radio Pulpit and can be heard on 657 am every Thursday  at 09h00-11h00am with the program 'Hartklop'. Every third week she has a children's program 'Padkos' on Tuesday and Thursday at 7h10-7h15.

Other interests/ hobbies: Puppetry, poetry and watercolor painting.
